powermac G4 quicksilver sleeper

so I found a kit to convert the powermac g4 quicksilvers case into a Micro ATX case, and ive decided to get it, but i realized theres a pretty big problem. I would be able to get all the components in the case just fine, but i dont think that i would be able to power the PC on with the cases power button, as im fairly certain the connector is different on the stock motherboard and a Micro ATX one, is there an adapter i could buy? are they the same connector and im just dumb? id love to know.

Power buttons usually work by momentarily shorting the appropriate pins on the mobo (you can do it with a screwdriver or any other conductive thing too), I assume you can just separate the wires from the stock power button and make sure they contact the 2 pins on the mobo (doesn't matter what way round they are as it just needs to short) and it should work.

It's a PowerMac G4, you buy em used either empty or strip the components yourself.

Thought you bought it already converted. But yes, there are jumper adapters you can get: Amazon.com: Jumper Switch Computer Chassis Power Switch Cable 2Pin PC Restarting ATX Button Motherboard Jumper Switch for ATX Chassis: Electronics

 

You can probably glue/fasten this behind the OEM power button
