nvidia geforce gt 1030 needs to be connected to monitor

Pavlik07

I have a question," Does it matter whether the graphics card is connected with the monitor?" Becausemy monitor is plugged into the motherboard and in my device manager it didn't show that there is another graphics card except the intel hd 4600 graphics. A few days ago I saw the nvidia gpu there but with code 45. So I uninstalled the device from the device manager and from there on I can't find it. And is 240W power supply enough for GT 1030 and i5-4590? Please help me because I am trying to solve this problem for a couple days.

If you have a graphics card the monitor should be plugged into it and not the motherboard.

The gt1030 card consumes maybe 30-40 watts.

By not using the integrated graphics the power used by cpu will drop by maybe 10-15w so really, using the gt1030 would only add around 15-20w to the total.

You have a cpu that probably consumes 50-70w , motherboard uses maybe 10-15w for onboard stuff and ram, each fan is 2-3w, each hdd is 8-10w  ... so your pc probably doesn't go over 100w out of 240w.

You'll be fine.

move cable to your gta1030 cad. even though it's slow it's better than integrated
