Laptop Ice-Pack + Cooling Tips, MSI Ge66 Raider Laptop, <33

I recently acquired a MSI Ge66 Raider Laptop,

Information: My Laptop Frame is metal

I was wondering about home-brew cooling options for it, like an Ice-Pack.

Should i utilize an ice-pack on the back-part of the laptop(no fans are back there) to both raise it up for more airflow, and provide cooling.

I already have it raised up via a notepad, but I'm concerned if I use an ice-pack, it'll cause cooling within the laptop itself, and the cold may actually damage the board

+ A possibility is layering the icepack in cloth, or paper towel, in order to soak up any condensation, whilst negating any possible effects from having the cold directly touching the laptop.

especially concerned that drastic changes in temperature from using an ice-pack, like removing and adding it for example, will cause damage via thermal expansion.(This is very very much speculation, I have no idea whether this would even happen).

OFC. this is all speculation, and I have minimal experience with this.

any other ideas are welcome.

Why you have to use ice pack? As long as it's raised/lifted and the fans are not set too slow you're fine
