aRGB to VDG fan/mobo problem

Hello, I recently built myself a pc and didn't see that I had no 4 pin rgb header (besides the one for my cpu cooler) but rather 3 pin rgb header.

Fine, I thought, bought a 4pin to vdg cable and now the fan is lighting up only partly?

I saw that you have to change the jumper settings in order to work properly. There are 3 pins that correspond to this setting and a random plastic thingy that goes into 2 pins (came with mobo).

The setting is this:

1-2 = 5V, 2-3 = 12V. And yes, I know the rgb fan is 5v so i put the plastic thingy on 1-2 -> just some light at the left side. So I thought I got it wrong and tried the 2-3 = 12V one, the result was exactly the same.

(I have 2 DLED headers, tried both, same result on both)

Tried it on a 4pin on a friend's pc - worked perfectly fine, so I'm wondering what am I doing wrong.

(not sure if it's worth mentioning - I am able to control it's color via rgb fusion but the amount of light it has stays like that)

Motherboard is: Gigabyte Aorus x470 Ultra Gaming (latest bios)

Fan is: Cougar Vortex.

Full config:

GPU: RTX 2060

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus

RAM: TridentZ 16GB, 3200mhz cl16

On the picture, it's the one at left.
