Question regarding the Keychron C2 with Hot-Swappable switches

I'm looking into getting a Keychron C2 with the hot-swappable switches and (hopefully RGB), but they're sold out with no telling how long it will be before they come back into stock. My question is if I ordered the keyboard with white backlight but still got the swappable switches, could I later upgrade to a set of RGB switches? Or is there something in the firmware of a keyboard with the white backlight that would prevent me from using the RGB functions because it only supports a single backlight color? I'd love to get some insight, and if you have one yourselves please let me know what you think about it.
