My SSD is running only on 2 lanes

im having an issue with my 6 month old build.

 

I just checked hardware info, and it says my m.2 nvme ssd is running in pcie gen3 x2, instead of x4. So im getting half the speed since it is running on only 2 lanes.

 

My motherboard is a gigabyte b550 gaming x and the bios is not showing any option for me to switch the number of lanes that the ssd uses.

 

SSD model: Western digital sn750 500gb

Mobo model: Gigabyte b550 gaming x

What other cards do you have installed? Did you run out of lanes?

I have an rtx 2060 installed, no other pcie devices. My cpu is r5 3600xt, so i dont think i have run out of lanes. Not 100% sure tho.

It should be x4, on that SSD, that mobo, with that CPU. 

Try using the second M.2. You have one from CPU, and a second from chipset. 

(M2A_CPU), CPU
(M2B_SB) Chipset

Can you get me the crystaldiskinfo screenshot fo that SN750,
Try to update the uefi, or restart it to default settings.

The GPU does not affect the M.2 connectors speed.
