I'm missing 318 GB of storage on my HDD

Zjories

I have an HDD with 900GB with 881 GB in use but when I counted the size of all the main folders I lost 318 GB. So all my folders together are 563 GB but if I look at the properties of my HDD it has 811GB in use. How can I fix this that I have my 318 GB back?

I made screenshots of the folders properties and one is from my HDD.

You should really use something like TreeSize to see where space is going, instead of screenshotting a dozen folders.

Ever clear your recycle bin? Got partitions that ate away at the original drive?

Download Treesize Free or a similar utility, scan drive, sort by size (best done in admin mode), my bet is that you have old drivers (Nvidia in particular are bad at this) or lots of temp files, crashdumps etc.

Yeesh, yeah please use a utility (I prefer WizTree, stupid fast) to get a visual as to where all your storage is going.
