Should I get my new case first or last?

Kanna

So should I get my new case first and put My current computer components in it or should I wait until I get the new stuff? Another thing is the new case won't have a GPU bracket so should I make my own way of having the GPU in a fixed place or should I just keep this case for now? (I move my PC by a 20min drive every week)

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

I would get it last truthfully. You can run your PC without a case externally on your motherboard box while you wait for it to come in and then install it into the case once it arrives.

I've never used a GPU bracket and never had problem. I mean if its something like a 3080 TI its probably worth the wait but again, I've never had issues even when the GPU looked like it was sagging a bit.

Unless it's something that is really unique and there is a chance that it will become out of stock, then I wouldn't rush it. Get everything else first, then get the case.

This is what I was going to say as well; it may not be pretty, but it is a perfectly workable way of running a PC for a while. A case is one of those things that don't really affect functionality and is there more for structural design and protection and thus it just isn't that mission-critical.

if anything, cases hinder functionality with restricted airflow.

Yeah I don't think the corsair 275r airflow is unique
