Do FPV drones have 3D cameras? (& thoughts on beginners kit)

Go to solution Solved by Nikel9O,

No, 99% of fpv drones have a single camera (either analog or digital).

Anyway its immersive enough if you buy good googgles event at pal resolution.

Do they? I assume it differs from drone to drone but I couldn't find a specific search term of spec that could easily seperate them. I Have an oculus quest and was thinking it would be pretty cool to get an fpv drone, but I imagine it won't be that immersive if it's just a 2D image with no depth stuck to your face. Also I saw this video:

and was thinking of going for either the $300 or $400 mark. Solid recommendation? (I live in Norway if that makes a difference).

Any help appreciated!

I am not aware of any available FPV drones with stereo cameras. The onboard flight camera is typically produces a simple low-res analog video with minimum latency which is fed to the goggles. If filming is the goal, you'll want a drone with a secondary filming camera or enough payload capacity to carry an attached camera like a GoPro. If you want to shoot 3D video you could add a stereo camera though you'll need a large drone to carry such a camera.
