Rx 580 Crashes with any change in Msi Afterburner

I have one rx580 8gb in my system and if I change a single parameter up or down in msi afterburner I get, in a best case scenario, artifacts or my system completely crashes.

im not positive but msi afterburner is usually for nvidia gpus

It's an xfx rx580 8gb Black edition Oc+

Can you max out the power limit slider in afterburner, then try to overclock only "core" speed slightly?

After maxing out the power slider I can slightly adjust both core and memory clocks without issue but I really can't make any changes that'd actually be significant. I tried adding 100 mhz to the memory clock and I immediately had artifacts.

Sadly that would mean you are most likely maxing out your card (Most likely your VRMs, which are usually where most cost cutting goes into).

Hi Gents,

 

I've the same GPU and I'm facing the same issue, as soon as I touch something in MSI afterburner or from the AMD driver the card becomes unstable, even if I simply downclock it. Any hint?
