Download a Faster GPU! - This Method REALLY Works!

18 hours ago, BondiBlue said:

I don't usually complain about video titles, but I just don't get this one. You aren't downloading a GPU, let alone a faster one.

Technically you are... just you have to think pretty hard about it.

When you download the updated driver for resisable bar, in a way you are downloading preformance.

Downloading software that enables better performance =/= downloading a new GPU.

Which is even weirder since storage is SATA which means it's totally separate from PCIe.

The SATA controller can still be on the PCIe fabric and thereby be affected.
It doesn't have to be a PCIe add in card either for this to still be the case. A lot of peripherals sits on the PCIe fabric. Especially if they are part of the chipset, since that these days are almost exclusively connected via PCIe lanes. (though, I would suspect that AMD haven't just shoehorned in resizable bar without ensuring that their own chipsets and associated components supports it.)

Introducing resizable bar to anyone without enough competence and (s)he WILL brick the graphics card in the process.

Giving this tool to noobs or someone who has almost or no idea of what to do is a really REALLY bad idea.

Eh, EVERYONE over-exaggerates the flashing risks. It's not like you need to do some complicated process. You just run a tool in most cases and it flashes in seconds. You really have to be so unlucky that flashing fails from power failure that just happens to happen at that moment.

Yo, I've got a 3070 here and I was trying to flash my vbios to enable resizable bar feature. Just wondering does anyone know what's the difference between F1 BIOS Flash and F60-F61 BIOS Flash? How do I know which one should I download for my GPU? Thanks guys 🙂

Depends on what you currently have on your card, if you have F1 you take the first one, if you have F60 or F61 you use the 2nd one

The manufacturer's utility should tell you, i.e. aorus engine.

WHAT THE HECK IS THIS
THIS IS MAKING ME FEEL I HAVE OCD

I am never going to see another video the same way with the same trust.

@GabenJr could you please explain why the graphs are just so... screwed up? Was it a rounding issue where 98.4 or 99.6 or something was rounded up to 100%? I am so confused here on why this graph is so messed up.

The Floatplane title: "Time for a FREE upgrade - Nvidia Resizable BAR support" is much better but I don't like it that the word free is all capslocked.

The "joke" was probably make fun of the videos which had these weird title names, like 5MinuteCraft. They even did that dumb chocolate trick/joke thing at the beginning of the video.

Hey can someone (even Linus) help me out...Idk if this was covered or not (didn't spend too much time scrolling) is the resizable bar only a capability of desktop setups or can this be done with high end laptops in particular like the new (2021) and fully decked out G15 Zephyrus from Asus? (With the 3080 & Ryzen 9)...I was one of the lucky ones who found one in stock lol THANKS IN ADVANCE TO ANY THAT CAN HELP!

AMD introduced Smart Access Memory with their Radeon 6000 series, and since then pressure has been on for Nvidia to respond. Now that they finally have, is it enough?

Hello there everybody, it has been a while. Nice video!

In my GeFroce Experience I see it disabled, so I assume I will need the graphics card's new bios and do the same for my motherboard bios.

But what about NOCTUA Edition graphic cards by ASUS?!? I can't find any update of bios on the product support page.....

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
