Need help with my microphone

I built a pc and nobody can hear me my mic is too quiet I opened the settings and boosted 30db but even then nobody can hear me any help I can get

Heya, first of all we need some Infos:

 

What kind of Microphone are you using?

Is it connected via USB or 3.5mm Jack?

 

If connected via 3.5mm Jack: 

Is it connected to the Case, Mainboard or a PCI Sound card?

 

What Mainboard are you using?

If using a PCI Sound card, which one?
