Oc Ryzen 7 5800x temps problem

Hello. I decided to overclock my r7 5800x, but when I set 4400MHz and 1.25V the temperatures for IDLE are normal (40-50 celsius degrees) but when i run ap Cinebench r23 the temperatures are very high (about 100-105 celsius degrees). I have nzxt kraken x73 and aorus b550 master

So it's stable on the overclock, but doesn't have enough cooling to keep temperatures good?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Why is the 5800x so hot?

yes, pump and fans working at 100% if cpu temperature is higher than 90 degrees.

But I have nzxt kraken x73. It's 360mm AIO.

I would assume temps are closer to 85 to 90 C while gaming. I would set the pump speed to max (always) and have the fans ramp up above 70 or 75 C. The NZXT Kraken has a subpar coldplate for Ryzen's chiplet design. OC on Ryzen 5000 series long term is where open loop water cooling comes into play. What you should look into as well is to have ample case aiflow to not suffocate that AIO's radiator.

You took the words out of my mouth. A 360 AIO doesn't equal perfect cooling. You're overclocking a hot chip.

Mine boosts to 4.85Ghz out of the box with a Noctua NH-D15S with fan at 1500rpm.  Hits 89c through Cinbench R23 and holds 4.4Ghz at around 1.337v through those 10 minutes..  Why 4.4?
