Does Resizable Bar Work with Intel CPU and AMD Card?

It does, provided your motherboard provider has an BIOS update that will allow you to enable it.  

 

I have a 9900KF and 6800XT with a Gigabyte Z390 Master and they kindly provided a BIOS update a few weeks ago.

 

Noticed some performance improvement in games like AC: Valhalla (from 65 to 71 FPS on 4K Max Settings) and Gears of War 5 (85 to 91 FPS on 4K Ultra Settings).  You won't see an improvement in a lot of games, and the odd game may actually be worse by a frame or two, but hopefully game developers will take advantage of ReBAR in future.

Hi,

 

So Asus few days ago announced that their z390 boards will support resizable bar, I have z390 board, i7 9700K with AMD 6800xt.

 

I searched the net and asked in multiple forums no one gave concrete answer.

 

Does resizable bar work with Intel CPU and AMD GPU? or is it exclusive for Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU? and AMD SAM needs all AMD components?

You need a BIOS update, as long as ASUS enabled it for your BIOS, it will.

This makes it seem like the answer is yes after the update. You can't put an AMD in z390.

wat. You absolutely can use AMD cards with Intel CPUs. Resizable BAR support is not exclusive to AMD, Nvidia or Intel.

I updated the bios on my MSI Z390 motherboard last week and enabled resizable BAR. My GPU is a 6800 XT, I assumed that it worked but have not noticed any considerable improvements yet.

There's only a few games where you see the 3-10% FPS increase. Most games don't change at all, and some even plays worse.
