Unlocked thread. It was brought to my attention that this is a quote from Craigslist ad, not the user actually trying to sell. They're trying to see if the sale is a good deal.

If "play any game" means at bare minimum graphics settings at 30 FPS, then yeah, probably. It depends on what every person's definition of "playable" is.

I mean, technically, you could probably run any games you want on it.

It just won't perform well and you will have to lower the graphics to low/720p on the more depending ones.

Though the fact they don't mention the CPU model, it could very well be an i7-920 in there.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600 / GPU: Radeon HD7970 GHz 3GB(upgrade pending) / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

Its all about expectations. The RX550 should play any game thrown at but probably not at super high frame rates or high fidelity. The ad is marketing it to the masses rather than to the small minority of us who would go out and spend the equivalent of a down payment on a car on computer parts just to play xxx title at 144Hz 4K.

CPU: Intel i7 - 5820k @ 4.5GHz, Cooler: Corsair H80i, Motherboard: MSI X99S Gaming 7, RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 2666MHz CL16,

GPU: ASUS GTX 980 Strix, Case: Corsair 900D, PSU: Corsair AX860i 860W, Keyboard: Logitech G19, Mouse: Corsair M95, Storage: Intel 730 Series 480GB SSD, WD 1.5TB Black

Display: BenQ XL2730Z 2560x1440 144Hz

What are you throwing at it? Doom from 1993? A RX550 is VERY similar to the integrated graphics in a 4000 series Ryzen laptop. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-RX-Vega-8-4000-iGPU-vs-AMD-RX-550/m1005641vs3925

You also don't have to take the "plays everything" too serious, it just means it will play a lot,  and a lot at least acceptably,  just not msfs or cyberpunk (which I'd see as a plus, personally lol )

Considering how much gpus currently cost i think this is a relatively good offer (if it's in good condition)

I'm actually one of those people who thinks that anonymity is overrated. Some people confuse privacy and anonymity and think they go hand in hand, and that protecting privacy means that you need to protect anonymity. I think that's wrong. Anonymity is important if you're a whistle-blower, but if you cannot prove your identity, your crazy rant on some social-media platform shouldn't be visible, and you shouldn't be able to share it or like it.
