Windows 10 misidentify my drives (SSD or HDD)

milesuy

I just reinstalled Windows 10. I just went to "Defragment and Optimize Drives" and I noticed that my hard drive (Model: WD20 EZAZ) is marked as an SSD, and it only runs TRIM, not Defragmenting.

How can I change it to a HDD?

Edit:

I also saw Windows 10 automatically defragmenting my SSD, with model: Gigabyte GP-GSTFS31240NTD.

Now I am confused, shouldn't defragment be done on a HDD, while TRIM on SSD, and both defragment and TRIM on some HDD's?

For now, I disabled the scheduled optimization.

How can I fix this?

Most likely because it is on USB.  connect it to a SATA port and see if you get the same results.

Sorry for the late reply. I tried to do this, but it still misidentifies my HDD as an SSD.
