Gifs not working on mobile device

Browser, version and OS: Chrome, iOS 

 

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Download a gif from google and then upload it from camera roll it will just be a still picture

 

What happened?

The gif isn't animated

 

What did you expect to happen?

the gif to be animated

This could maybe be a bad move from apple and not support them

 

If it's a cloudflare error, what was the ray ID from the bottom of the error page?

It was a gif all the way until you posted or tried to upload it else where?

Not sure there is some gif data limit to be shown at the page, if it was still working just not loading, or corrupted/not accepting that upload correctly.

The image you posted here is a single frame GIF. So somewhere it was converted, and by looking at the amount of GIF's posted i doubt it happend on the forum. 🤔

 

First hit from animated gif on google downloaded and uploaded.

Hmm One frame Gif weird all I did was download the Gif to my photo library and upload, even tried copy image and paste here this seems only to happen on iOS so I suspect iOS is at fault but idk

It is a problem with iOS. Any time you try to download a gif its a single frame. @Kanna have you tried saving to the Files app? It should save as .gif then
