yes SMEJ (sony music entertainment japan) (inclouds SACRA, SMS( sony music solutions). Most of the artist shown are with sony as the record label.

during anima I noticed a sony music inventory tag

To be fair I wouldn't have batted an eye even if I knew it was all Sony gear. 

 

To me those MDR-CD900ST s are just the industry standard studio monitors in Japan. Might be fun to get a pair actually...

in the US the industry standard is Sony mdr 7506 (heck I own a pair of 7506) 

but yeah its the industry standard there.

as for the cd900st it’s getting a cult following.

Personally I would go with the m1st has aton more creature comforts.

also I made a blog post on a lot of the gear.

 

Are they comfortable with glasses? That's my biggest gripe with my MDR-V250s, they clamp down pretty hard and push the glasses hooks into the side of my head. Might want to find a pair of cans that I can comfortably wear while working.

If your getting the cd900st get the pads replaced.

the 7506 is good without any aftermarket pads.

 I personally don’t wear glasses but that what I noticed. (I should just chuck a pair of safety glasses on)
