I case of The Pop Group it is a pretty aquired taste.

Naked City, however. I think they only exist so people can tell their friends about them. I highly doubt anyone actually like the music. 

To quote John Oliver "There are two kinds of people: Those who don't like jazz and those who lie about liking jazz".

While I disagree on the jazz part, I would agree if it was replaced with Naked City.
