headset mic not working on pc

aamuuuu_

I recently built a pc and my headset microphone isn't picking up any audio on it (I can hear sounds tho). It works on my laptop so the headset is not the problem. I have the microphone plugged in on the front I/O port but I've also tried it on the back. I have it set as default device and I have updated all drivers (i think).

Headset: Dacota gaming cyber headset v2

cant find any info on that headset in English. if it is using a single 3.5mm 4 pole, that would explain why it works on laptop since afaik, they mostly have 4 pole 3.5mm jacks. most pc's don't, and need a splitter to connect to the headphone jack and mic jack separate.

You'll have to dig in one of at least 3 different sound options in windows.

Sound settings, the settings within settings and the device settings.

Also check that your front io is connected correctly, could be problems with the 2/3/4 pin type.

I use my headset with PC, it's a Turtle Beach Recon 50x, but I use my controller as my audio controller, since it can be used with USB. Both functions work fine

the headset is using two 3.5mm 3 poles but i use an adapter for my laptop which connects the two into a 4 pole

i've checked all audio settings multiple times and they should be all good, also checked the connections and they seemed good too

sometimes reinstalling the audio drivers can fix an issue, might try that next.
