Is there a difference between "Dedicated" and "Discrete" graphics?

I don't believe there is any distinction between them. I associate them as one in the same when talking about Graphics Cards.

To clarify, I'm not talking about INTEGRATED graphics.

 

I'm talking about DISCRETE vs DEDICATED graphics.

 

It's long been my understanding that the latter two are the same -- completely interchangeable terms. However I've seen it mentioned that there might be situational differences between the terms?  Can anyone clarify whether they are 100% interchangeable or not?
