What is GPU hotspot temperature?

Go to solution Solved by Helpful Tech Witch,

That's the hottest spot on the gpu die.

I recently got a new PC and I downloaded HWiNFO, and one of the tabs in the sensors says "GPU hotspot temperature." What is that?

Thank you in advance!

AMD shows you the hottest temp, but Nvidia does not. A lot of Nvidia users might assume their card runs cool, like my bro's 2060 only hits 83c, but in reality the real hottest area is hidden, and likely hits close to 100c.
