does m.2 wifi chip needs heatsink for cooling?

I got a ax200with pci adaptor for pc, but how to check the temps and perf?

 

it has usual sticker label on chip, so its not actually hot?

high end m.2s do IMO, otherwise you end up with an overheating controller and thermal throttling. The NAND flash chips themselves no, but the Controller yes, does need cooling based on my personal experiences.

OP is talking about m.2 wifi cards not SSD's.

 

Also no they do not need a cooler.
