Cryptocurrency laws confuse me

So i was looking into mining cryptocurrency. So i looked up if it was legal in India. The results were mixed. Some of them said mining, holding or exchange of cryptocurrency is illegal. And others said there is no law saying  holding or exchange of cryptocurrency is illegal. I am confused about what to do.

Any opinions.
