Wall Street doesn’t like what it sees. Facebook’s stock price (NASDAQ:FB) is dropping in after-hours trading after the company announced its purchase of virtual reality startup Oculus Rift. The stock, which closed up on the day, is now under its open price of $64.25, resulting in a loss of $1.5 – $1.8 billion market cap.

 

Negative side affect #2: $1.5 - $1.8 billion loss for Facebook! Oh my, this certainly is interesting. It seems not even stock holders agree with the Oculus acquisition. Hm, who knows, maybe if enough negative news starts coming out, both Oculus and Facebook may back track on the deal. Who knows. Stay tuned.

Why let a company that is projected to not exist in 3 years acquire you?

 

Facebook is dead...it's not cool anymore.

LOL they just loss all the money they trowed at oculus xD

Guys.... a 1% drop in stock value is little to nothing.... The market does this all the time. Trust me... I work with stocks... this isn't a blow to facebook at all...
