Do you think LCD displays are behind?

Lets face it the technologies that go into our flat panel displays is lacking. Why does a LCD need to refresh the screen like a CRT? Why do we need backlights? these kinds of things make me love my old CRT still. I just can't wait until a LCD or whatever monitor comes out that completely fixes all the current issues with LCD monitors today.

 

I'm posting this just because i have been loking real close to my LCD and it kinda sucks. I can notice the vertical lines bending and slanting when I move a window across my monitor and that to me is just unacceptable.

No, but I think more manufacturers should use better panels. Like seriously all laptops with 768p TN panels. I don't mind 768p but TN in 2014...

 

 

And acer managed to release 8inch windows tablet with TN panel. dafuq.

TN panels need to go in the garbage. Seriously it is 2014.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

I have nothing against good quality TN panels but in laptops, oh my. Just awful especially in quite expensive and using cheap made TN panels like what couple Lenovo Thinkpad are using  :mellow:

Even TN isn't fast enough, so for me personally IPS would be a downgrade. The difference in smoothness between motion at 60hz vsnyc and 120hz vsnyc is out of this world and everything just looks a lot more natural, especially when you activate low persistance(lightboost hack, but that one really screws up the colors bad ^^). OLED will be great because it brings together the great colors and even faster response times.
