Razer Keyboard and Mouse in BIOS

I own both a Deathstalker and Deathadder 2013 from Razer, which are in my mind fantastic peripherals. I have only found one draw back with them though, at that is neither of them are active, or even light up until after the BIOS screen, and more recently until around 5 seconds after Windows 8.1 has come to my log in screen. 

 

I was just wondering if anyone from the community could help me troubleshoot this problem

i got the same issue on my CM quickfire keyboard, it wont work in bios at all so i have to use my old keyboard if i need to do anything there.

Yeah, I also have a cheap £5 keyboard lying in the bottom of my wardrobe if I ever want to change anything in the BIOS, it is just annoying me slightly now that I have to wait in the windows 8.1 loading screen for me to be able to type anything.

My deathadder has just started to do that, but i bet it's because i'm using a USB hub between the PC and the mouse. 

My ducky keyboard works though.

Hmm... I have both of mine going straight into the back of my mobo's usb 2.0 ports, it is very strange your's has only just started doing it though

Well it happened around the time that I started using the hub. Since I don't go into the BIOS every day, i couldn't be 100% sure without testing but it seems most likely.

Are you using n key roll-over? I think some BIOS's are not compatible with keyboards using n key roll-over and some other things I can't seem to remember, but I could be wrong.

I don't think I am, the problem isn't the keyboard not registering input, neither the keyboard or mouse are powered until around 10 seconds of being on the lock screen :/
