Most of you will tldr so ill some it up, there are emulators coming but there is a problem. Sony is creating a streaming service to play any old titles you have so any ps1,ps2,ps3 title and you will have to pay for that service which makes emulating a lot more risky and couldput off some teams. If however the emulator works well then it will be awesome and stuff. I bet id get higher gta iv fps while emulated compared to the pc version due to how **** the optimizing is on the actual pc version.

Isn't it hard to emulate PS3 efficiently? Different architecture, demand for fast RAM, etc.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

they should ignore making a PS3 emulator

xbox360 is a 3 core in-order architecture is much simpler than the confusing Bohemith  that is ps3

the system is simpler over all

here is a great read from a well known person in the emulator scene Ben Vanik

http://www.noxa.org/blog/

read part 1 to part 6 to understand the whole idea

he already has the ability launch a game and play its but SLOW

Meeeehhhh but kind of nice. I think id still prefer to play those games on the actual machine...but if it can be emulated perfectly then im all for it.

I dont really want to have to hang onto my old machines just to play a few games I really like...id rather have one machine that does it all.

Well, could be good. Not THAT many great exclusives that I badly want to play.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

The only reason I would even be interested in this is for some nostalgic HALO action. I sold my 360 cause it sat on the shelf for years and never got used, and I have a PS3 (it's basically a netflix and blu-ray player, but I could play a game if I wanted), and most of the other games I can get natively on PC.

It's still cool though, just from an "it finally got done" standpoint. However, I'm much more interested in "emulating" PS4 and Xbox One. It seems like that would be easier due to them being basically PC's, and that would be really cool I think.
