I've got a similar issue. In fact, the exact same issue. I found that after I updated the Duo software/firmware, it broke the windows volume control. It even renamed them as a SPDIF device. I've tried rolling back drivers and uninstalling, etc, but I fear the only option is to factory reset the speakers.

However, there's no easy way to do this. Send in a ticket to JBL, and they'll forward you onto the crew from the audio specialist team.

Also, I have done a workaround to get them running, unplug the USB, and go through the Front Speaker Out (green jack in the back, I know, naming conventions), via the provided audio cable. Go standard with it.

This is happening very randomly. Sometimes the volume slider in windows has no effect on the speakers. Tried windows drivers, as well as JBL's drivers. It's still happening. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

However, volume adjusting does work if I use the physical "slider", however, the volume slider doesn't change in windows. (Sorry if it's kinda complicated)

The speakers are connected via USB. Any solutions?

I would also suspect a driver issue. What do you mean by physical slider?

You would think Ubisoft would support the Bulldozer based architectures more given their digging themed names like bulldozer, Piledriver, Steamroller and Excavator.

I mean the round shaped volume adjuster on the speaker.

Sorry to bump an old thread , but I have the same issue as the OP

I have tried many solutions even the item posted above but there seems to be no fix
