Was this system able to boot without updating the BIOS? I'm considering this CPU/motherboard combo but have read online you may need a BIOS update to run any 3rd gen Ryzen. The update is easily found online via ASUS, but I don't have another AMD CPU on hand to get an initial boot and update them if it isn't able to boot with a 5950.
