Screen stuttering on R6

So I got a new Zephyrus G15 with a 3070 and Ryzen 5900HS. This is my first gaming laptop, coming from a desktop with an i7-7700k and a 1080.  When I played R6 on my old rig it was butter smooth even at max settings and now even with the settings a medium my laptop has some crazy stuttering going on whenever I flick the cursor.  I play mostly R6 so this is a big deal for me. I feel like I have to be missing a setting somewhere because there's no reason this game shouldn't be running smooth as glass on this machine.  Anyone got any ideas?

Weird Question, but is it possible for an audio device to mess with PC performance?  I've been using my Sony WH1000XM4s as a headset (I travel so having my headphones and a separate gaming headset is kind of annoying) but as soon as I turned them off my stutter went away.

 

Am I tripping?
