Is my cheap mouse mat the reason why my G102 has some high LoD(for me)?

This is my mouse mat. Idk know why it still track when I lift it high enough that it shouldn't track(about 1 to 1.5 cm?). I clean my mouse's sensor once in a while but still occurs whether it is cleaned or not but without the mouse mat(on bare table), it has low LoD. What could be the problem?
