Do I need both install.wim and install.esd files for a windows iso?

Jae Tee

As the title implies can I remove 1 of these files to shrink my iso, as it's too large for what I need?

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.

Why do you need a smaller iso? If you want to customise the iso try ntlite

Trying to upload it to a cloud computing platform, but they only allow 10gb. I already messed around with it a bit adding specific drivers necessary for said platform but as you can tell i hit a wall.

Wasn't ESD an alternative to WIM? An installation usually contains one or the other, not both. Atleast from what I've seen... correct me if im wrong.

I hope you're right, I'll give it an attempt.
