ISSUE: Computer wont completely shut down, Ez [ DRAM light stays on ]

Good Day Everyone,

 

I am experiencing an issue with a new build that i am working on. The Specs and issue are explained below.

 

Specs:

Mobo: MAG Tomahawk B550

PSU:750W BE QUIET! STRAIGHT POWER PLATINUM

SSD: M.2 Samsung NVMe 970 EVO Plus 1TB

RAM: 32GB 3600MHz G.SKILL Trident Z RGB NEO CPU COOLER: BE QUIET! DARK ROCK PRO 4, TDP 250w GPU: 3080 Eagle  CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x   Issue:   Since first time turned on, computer is working fine except the DRAM Led light doesnt shut off , tried switching to different memory went with Kingston RGB Fury 3200mhz 16gb 2x8gb kit, but still the light remained on and also whenever you try to reboot or completely shut down the computer , the monitor goes black, the keyboard and mouse shut down but the fans and led lights on mobo continue to work as usual. Only thing that works for shutdown is holding the power button for 3-4 secs.   I am suspecting that mobo is faulty or at least doesnt work well enough with r5 5600x with the current bios, will try to flash bios.   Any explanations how to resolve the issue ?   Thank you.

Have you updated the BIOS since you bought the motherboard?

No i haven't still, its working with out of the box bios.

Definitely try update the BIOS as it will improve stability and compatibility with RAM usually, especially after new processors were released and some boards may/may not support them.

Only update to a stable (non-Beta) BIOS

Updating the bios to the newest stable version did the trick. Thank you guys for the assist!
