Cooler Master Hyper 212x or Be quiet! Pure rock 2 for an Intel Core i7-9700k?

BBSilent

They are very similar, but I think be quiet has a better fan

Neither. My buddy has a 9700K powered Hackintosh cooled with a Dark Rock Pro 4 and he says his CPU hits the 70s-80s at full boost while doing his photo/video work. The coolers mentioned aren't in the same class. I threw my 212 Evo away.. because that's what I think of it :old-laugh:

AMD R7 5800X3D | Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO, 1x T30

Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero | 32GB G.Skill Trident Z @ 3733C14

Zotac 4070 Ti Trinity OC @ 3060/1495 | WD SN850, SN850X, SN770

Seasonic Vertex GX-1000 | Fractal Torrent Compact RGB, Many CFM's

Indeed.

I should note he is not an overclocker at all. You might be able to get away with it.. he was using an NZXT case that looked like an oven so..

They perform similarly but the Pure Rock 2 is quieter. Either would be fine.
