Do you guys know how to get linux on this chromebook?

Ive got a out of support chromebook running chromeos Version 76.0.3809.136 , and it should have a linux option in the settings as it was introduced in chromeos 69. But I cant find it.

I cant find any documentation online as to why it would not be there.

Its not there on any of the chromeos branches.

this was a school chromebook before it went out of support, I got it from the school for 20$.

Is it possible that it being a school's has something to do with it?
(its bassically a hp chromebook 11, its the hp chromebook 11-smb)

its a intel chromebook

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)
