I'm doing a repair on a PC and the Mobo is held in with these half threaded screws, never seen them before and its causing movement with the board

Its an Asus X570-f Strix if that helps,

I have more traditional screws i'm going to use but just wondering if the client used the screws off something else by mistake or did these come with the mobo?

looks like hard disk screw, the neck is for the rubber mounts usually

probably a mix up

usually the screws come with the case, not the motherboard. so i doubt we'll know what they are without knowing what case it's mounted in.

Its the Meshify C

Now that you mention it yes, its for the 3.5" sleds, the neck is indeed for the thick rubber rings, i just checked the parts box for my own Meshify C

This build is full of little things like this, I'm glad he gave it to me to finish
