worth waiting for 4th gen mid range cpu?

been waiting for months and not any rumors on anything below 5600x, will they exist? when to expect ?

want to at least see some sort of rumour /reviews before getting a prev gen 3600 , maybe

We don't know, but they probably will.

But the intel 10th gen parts seems like a better deal for budget systems now. But there will always be faster cheaper parts in the future.

With how AMD chips are at the moment, I would not expect for a lower range of CPUs to come out soon. Even if they did, they'd be off the shelves and on Ebay in minutes

I may be stupid, but at least I'm not an idiot.

i hate intel for these reason

locked cpu and chipset unless you overpay to unlock

still on 14++++++ with little cpu cores count

changing cpu socket for no reason

too tiny ipc over gens (2nd gen to 7th gen improvements are too slow, then i gave up on intel)

You get basically the same or more cores for the same price. The 10400 is cheaper than the 3600/5600 for example

Get the better value product for you at the time, this seems like intel for cheaper builds now. Something liek a 10700f is probably a better bet for the price.

Still they mastered it quite well to be able to still be competitive against 7nm chiplets architecture ... the i5 have 6 cores with hyperthreading now which is the same as the ryzen 5

They keep the socket for usually two gen which is not a lot but still better than every gen.

Also you have to check what is available and get the best chip available within your price range ... for me it was intel i5 10600k cause the tyzen 5 5600x was not available and the i5 is faster in gaming than the ryzen 5 3600 and both were the same price.

I9 10850K

EVGA RTX 3080 TI FTW3 ULTRA

32 Gb Crucial Balistix ddr4 3600mHz 16-18-18-38

MSI Z490 Tomahawk

Fractal Design Ion+ 860W platinum

Arctic Liquid Freezer II, 360mm

WB Black SN750 NVMe ssd

TeamGroup L5 3D Lite 1 Tb sata SSD

the performance speaks for itself. 10th gen Intel is only slightly worse than 5th gen AMD, but you can't buy 5th gen Ryzen so Intel is the only good value.

same thing when 3rd gen AMD was new. Slightly slower than 9th gen Intel, but price and availability was a lot better so I recommended it more often because of superior value.

Maybe 3rd gen is a good pick for you, not sure what country you're buying in.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

What do you have right now?

because if you need a computer now, and you don't have one, then just get one. None of the present offerings are actually bad and you'd be fine with pretty much anything from either company 10 series or 3000 series+

wait for intel's 11th gen they should come out in a few weeks

intel tends to launch the whole line up at the same time and if the 19% ipc boost is true even a core i3 would be a monster (granted if the price is right)

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here

AMD can release 5600 at any time, they know 3600 is still good enough to compete with 10400.

Maybe wait till intel release a cheap 6 cores 11th gen.

there are no bad products, there are only bad prices

If the prices are low enough, than you can justify some things
