could I put a wifi m.2 into any m.2 slot or does it have to be a specific wifi m.2 slot?

M.2 WiFi doesn't fit in the same slots as M.2 SSDs. It does need to be a WiFi M.2 slot.

should work

Basically i have a wifi card, which i no longer need since I finally have an ethernet line. I have a motherboard that has a wifi m.2 slot. I see that on my pcie wifi card it literally just has a wifi m.2. Can i simply unscrew it from the card and put it in the motherboard (of course with longer antenna line). Also, could I put a wifi m.2 into any m.2 slot or does it have to be a specific wifi m.2 slot?
