Go to solution Solved by AlphaBravo12,

I contacted Razer support again but they just want to send the same headset again even though it clearly states its a driver problem. Thanks for your replies im going to look into a g533 instead as my old logitech gaming headset worked well

Thanks

Hi my pc started doing this around Christmas. Around this time I installed a new graphics card (1070) and bought a new headset (Razer kraken TE), the pc now seemingly randomly shuts down and in event viewer got this output

The device HID-compliant headset (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 4 more times

PC Specs:

cpu: i7 2600k Sandy Bridge (no OC)

mobo: z77 performance

gpu: 1070

psu: Corsair 550W bronze

ram: 16gb

os: Windows 10 Pro

Can provide more data if needed 🙂

many thanks in advance

Alex

razor

I love how everyone calls them "Razor" and not "Razer". I mean it is not wrong. It is kind of a razor that shaves you off with their products. Anyways.

So, I've never seen something like this happen. Could be a corrupt driver or basically anything. Just don't ever get any "gaming" headset anymore.

PM or DM me if you have any questions about audio.
