Soda got spilled

I accidentally spilled 20 ml of soda on my laptop

I removed my charger and mouse and quickly removed the laptop drying it and turning it off

I left it for a while and turned it o'\n

It worked normally but some keys were kind of sticky

I sprayed some alcohol to the side that I spilled with soda to and the keys worked

But I am worried that something will screw it up and I am scared that if I open up my laptop and do something to the eternal components while trying to clean it then something will happen 

Sorry I am not great at technology and I am new but I have a basic understanding of it

Drying takes multiple days for it to be proper not a couple hours.

 

If you want to make sure it's ok remove the keyboard. Normally those are a plate of plastic so any small spills stay on the keyboard.

if you're comfortable with disassembling your laptop, take out the keyboard, rinse it properly under a tap, and let it dry out AT LEAST 24 hours, then reassemble.

 

if you're not comfortable with disassembling your laptop... hope that the soda didnt hurt anything and leave it as is.

Yeah but would the sugar damage anything? 

My laptop works fine but would it do any damage if I use it as if nothing happened?
