How do I connect both 3090 and CPU with RM850

I am trying to build a pc with Gigabyte 3090 OC (has two 8 pin connectors) with Stric X570-E as motherboard. My PSU is RM850.

And I am confused as to how to connect them.

It seems my PSu only came with two CPU 8 pin connectors. Both of which I will probably use to power the 3090. In that case what happens to the CPU? Do I need to buy seperate cable?

You cant. PCIE power and EPS power are pinned differently.

So how should I connect the 3090 and the CPU for this PSU?

your PSU should come with 3x 2x6+2pin PCIE power cable iirc, use those?

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Thanks!

Also another beginner question.

The PCIe cables I see have split ends. Should I use only one cable to power the 3090? (since the split will allow me to connect both 8 pins). Or should I just use two different cables. And not use the splits

Use adapters from back in a days but you should have an extra extension where you need simply put together with remaining pins. Also, I have my own doubts about that wattage. I hit 900W+ Easily playing more demanding games like Tomb Raider on 4k. So good luck.

This. 3090 is incredibly power hungry.
