Ordered a new Seasonic and they sent me a different model. Keep or replace?

Go to solution Solved by artuc,

What @seon123 said, it's an update of model names so the TX is a direct equivalent.

Probably just haven't updated the listing to correct it.

1. Don't think that changes anything. Keep yelling.

2. You bought a seasonic product from a third party? Why though?

Always other fish in the sea. For the price of the SSR-1000TR you can get a huge amount of excellent Power supplies, unless you have some sort of specific criteria?

Just want something of proven high quality as I will very likely be using this PSU until it either dies or tech changes force me to use something else. That's why I was wondering if I should just keep what was sent to me as I'm not sure how much the difference in quality between the two actually is since the prices differences are pretty close.

What the crap are these people talking about...

The Prime TX is the newer version, but there shouldn't be any difference between them, other than the name. The question is, why would you want the old one...?

By old one I assume you mean the PRIME Titanium which has been heavily tested and review so I know what I'm getting with it while I've found little about the TX-1000. Feel free to post any information you have showings  it's just as good or better and I'll gladly keep it.

Still going to yell at the seller because the Titanium he has priced at 480 but he has the TX-1000 priced for 443 so I'm going to demand he refund the difference before I remove the one star review.

The Prime 1000 Ultra Titanium has the old OCP circuit, which can trip on high wattage Ampere video cards.  These PSU's are 2016-2018 era.

The Prime TX-1000 has the revamped OCP Circuit which is stable with these cards.  These are 2019+ Era.  The TX-1000 is the one you want.
