60 FPS on CS:GO with GTX 1080?

SkylineArmy
Go to solution Solved by SkylineArmy,

UPDATE: After a few days, following these steps helped me:

  1. Unsubscribe unnecessary workshop maps. Remember to take note of all the maps that you would like to keep.
  2. What you do at first step is just visually removing the maps from your counter-strike, but the maps file are still located on you hard drive. You need to delete them as well. Find and delete workshop map files only or just delete everything in these folders:
    • …\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\maps
    • …\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\maps\workshop
  3. Verify game cache to restore any files deleted by accident. Also if you delete everything at step 2 this is a must. You do this by open Steam library -> right click on CS:GO -> Properties -> Choose ‘Local files’ tab -> Click on ‘Verify integrity of game files’
  4. Re-subscribe all the maps that you take note at step 1.
  5. Get in game and enjoy a much higher, stable FPS!

Hi, I play CS:GO on 1024x768(4:3) and lately i've been getting super low FPS as stated...

It's super drastic on CS:GO, but I also feel a slight decrease of FPS in games like Forza, et cetera.

All drivers are up to date, BIOS was updated recently aswell... When playing CS, CPU is around 40%, GPU at 20%

Specs: 16GB DDR4, GTX 1080, i7-6700

Note: the game is not capped in framed or anything in the settings

Would glad to get some helppp because I'm clueless,  THANKS!

So whats the exact FPS you're getting? Is it 60 only, or is it like 60-80 or lower?

Not sure. How do I check?

EDIT: Screen doesn't have G-Sync, it's a normal screen.

Uuh, aight lol... so is it like frame drops? You have 150fps and then it goes to 50 and back up to 150? Or is it something else?

Nah, low FPS all around- when looking at the sky I get like 200, but on regular gaming I get around 60, and lower

I've installed all my other drivers using "driver booster" can it cause problems?

Should I reinstall all my drivers?

If so, how do I uninstall my non-GPU drivers?

Oof... install them again using this link please https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/170886/en-us and then test the game afterwards. I recommend restarting your PC before you test.

Did not help unfortunately 😔

What do you think can it also be?

It must be some software shit, right?

EDIT: Can it be something with like directX or something like that?  not sure because I'm not really a person of understanding in those areas
