Gpu stuck and lock won’t budge

Vaslammer

Hi, so I was taking out my GPU for cleaning since it had some dust and while I was taking it out from the left, the lock snapped back in place. I can’t put the card back in cause of the angle so now its stuck with the left side dangling and the right stuck in the lock. The lock will not move at all when I try to unlock it. Can I have help, advice, or ways to how to fix this?

Does the mobo have a clip you need to press to remove the card? Because it seems that it is stuck at the back side from the pics. Try pushing the back side of the card down a little, then pressing the clip and pulling out the card.

It does yes, but I haven’t tried unlocking while pushing so I’ll try after school

I've done what @Latvian Video said many times with my graphics card, due to the nature of how heavy it is, but more whatsoever of pushing the PCIe slot lock and pulling the graphics card out.

This thread made me laugh.

Try to angle your card and release the lock while pulling the GPU out.

If the card is a push-to-release, then you'll need to hold-on-to the lock while pushing at a slight angle to try to release it.

Usually with a little-bit of force, you can yank the card out of the tab/lock.

Here's another thread with same issue.
