3080 Gigabyte OC fan header stuck, any ideas on how to remove?

I wanted to re-paste and put thermal pads on the back plate of the GPU since the memory kept throttling and it was constantly at 110C and would throttle down from there. I took the card apart but this fan header just seems plain stuck, no matter what I do it won’t come out. Anyone have similar experiences? What I’m thinking of doing is taking a blow dryer and just blow drying it on high for a couple minutes and give it a nice tug, would you say that a good idea? I’m not sure what to do at this point.

Have you tried taking a small flathead screwdriver and leveraging it between the connector and the port? That's what I've always done when working on laptops.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

I’ve tried doing that and it almost broke off, I’ll try doing it with a small knife and with pliers at the same time , maybe that’ll help. What do you think about the blow dryer idea? Maybe it’ll loosen it up since plastic expands with heat

No reason not to try. Just don't blast it too hard with the hot air, or you could warp the plastic.
