Old AM2 mobo, what is SPDIF - OUT, because it doesn't look like it should - also can I connect a LED case fan? :D

Seriously I don't understand this port at all, looks like a fan plug?  And SPDIF is optical, and even if there's a SPDIF plug that's not optical where do I connect the other end?  And since it looks like a fan header, altho just 3 pins, could it be used for a LED case fan?

No, you cannot connect a fan to that header.

This header is for using soundcards, the older kinds sometimes needed this header to support optical audio.

Cause this case needs more fans and I have some laying around...!

The header is  5v , data out , ground   ... .the data out is the digital signal, audio bits.

You can buy a  bracket with the connector and a cable that plugs there.
