What is the best gaming pc that runs 4k 144hz with ease? Please list all the parts.

Pokman Deng

I have never built a pc before and I couldn't find a place where they list all the parts I need to buy that could get the best gaming experience. I would like to build a PC that is easily upgradable and would last a long time without maintenance.

What is your use case? What is your country? What is your budget? When do you plan to buy the parts (there is a global stock shortage atm)

you need at least 5000 USD for that build, probably more.

Do you have 5000 USD or more?

actually it seems easier to get a 3090 than the lower models, cause nobody wants them, the product makes zero sense, especially at prices 3000 and up lol (check ali express)

4K144 is a pretty high bar for most games, graphics-wise a GeForce 3080 or 3090 would be ideal but a Radeon 6800XT or 6900XT would be good too. For CPU a Ryzen 5800X or i7 10700K would be a good fit. For memory I'd go with 32GB of 3600Mhz, preferably low-latency. And for storage 1TB or 2TB NVMe. And you'll need a good quality 850W PSU to power it all.

Powerspec 1530 (Clevo PB50DF2) ~ i7 10875H ~ RTX 2070 Super 115W ~ 32GB DDR4 ~ 2x 1TB NVMe ~ 2TB 5400RPM ~ 1080P 240hz matte IPS

Gigabyte G1 GA-970-SLI ~ FX 8320 @ 3.3Ghz, 1212mV ~ 16GB DDR3 ~ Radeon 570 4GB ~ 512GB NVMe ~ 2x 1TB HGST 7200RPM

Xtras ~ Dell 22" 1680x1050 matte IPS monitor ~ Logi M705 mouse ~ PowerA Fusion Pro Xbox One controller ~ Sony XB950N1 headphones ~ Epson V700 film scanner

Streaming Setup ~ OBS Studio with AMF encoding ~ iVCam bridged to LG G6 ~ Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface ~ TONOR condenser cardioid mic

3080 doesn't do this - in modern AAA games.

Maybe in SLI lol. 😅

when 3080 are priced at $1250, $1500 doesnt seem that insane for a 3090, just saying

but yea, 4K144 in what? any 30 series GPU would do 4k144 on desktop with HDMI 2.1 i think?

It simply doesn't exist. 4K 144Hz is not achievable in modern AAA games with any available hardware. Going over some 3090 benchmarks real quick, most modern AAA games will top out around 70-80FPS at 4K Ultra. Some lower, some higher, but certainly none at a constant 144. You could hit this pretty easily in popular multiplayer titles though like League, Seige, Fortnite, etc.

SLI isn't a good option either due to the problems inherent to it.

If you are just looking to spend as much money as possible, you want to get an RTX 3090 GPU, then you have a choice of a Ryzen 5800X/5900X, or an Intel 10900K/11700K. Buy any motherboard that costs $500+, and make sure you get the highest frequency RAM that you can find.

It is just not a good idea to build a PC this way. We are still a ways off from 4K 144Hz becoming achievable. DLSS 2.0 will probably make that much easier, but barely any games support it right now.
