Buying a new graphics cards

I'm currently running a GTX 1060 3gb trying to play warzone and I can't get more then 70 fps. I have a friend that has a 980 and is willing to sell it to me for $180. Is it worth it? I know it's not a huge upgrade but I could hopefully get another 10 to 15 fps out of it.

I probably should've mentioned this but I play on the lowest settings. And the 1060 he was using in the video was a 6gb variant where mine is the 3gb. I don't know if that changes your answer but I thought I should clarify

Performance of a 980 is a tiny bit higher than a 1060 so it's by no means a 180$ price tag worth.

Oh, i didnt notice that you had a 3GB version.. my bad. You'd still gain a small fraction of frames and i dont really think 180usd is worth that. If you maybe told him that you'd buy it for like 120usd or 130usd then i'd consider that a good deal.

Edit: and you could use the 1060 as a miner card for ex. ?

If he can sell his 1060 it might not be terrible though. I just sold a 960 the other day for $130 so Im sure he can easily get $180 for a 1060. That being said, I think $180 is still quite overpriced for that card. Maybe like 130-150 MAX
