DRAM frequency to 3200MHz

jsubic82

Hello,

I have build this:

Patriot Viper 4 Blackout RAM, 16 GB (2x 8 GB), DDR4, 3200 DIMM,

CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600x,

motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550M-A,

Latest BIOS version

I am fairly new to this, but I hear this CPU could run at 3200MHz DRAM frequency as the default is only 2133MHz. I managed to get it to 3000MHz and it seems to be working fine, but when set to 3200Mhz the computer won't start.

I would like to get Dual Channel at 3200MHz, if possible. What is the problem here?

If this is not possible, even 3000MHz is OK, but I would like someone to confirm that my RAM is currently working at 3000MHz. So I am attaching some screenshots. Is this the right setting?

Thanks for help,

Jaka Š.

Are you setting the frequency via XMP profile or manually?

I go via XMP profile (DOCP).

Okay, just making sure. Try the other slots like @ShrimpBrimesuggested.
